This years Mobile World Congress has once more seen a variety of exciting new gadgets and wireless innovations at the biggest telecom fair in the world. The 2015 MWC took place in Barcelona last month and introduced us to a special traceable suitcase, a new virtual reality headset, some cool new smartwatches and even the first dual curved display smartphone.
First up its California based company Bluesmart that is looking to change the way in which we travel. Many of those main concerns that every traveller has when it comes to packing their case could very well be a thing of the past with their new smart suitcase concept.
It’s the world’s first smart connected luggage that features a number of interesting features including a digital lock which you can open with your smartphone.
It also comes with a self-weighing facility that automatically sends the cases weight to your phone showing you exactly how much you have packed, particularly handy on flights with weight restrictions. The best feature is the built in location tracker which will allow you to keep in touch with your case to ensure you never again lose your luggage.
To go up against the highly anticipated Oculus Rift is Chinese phone manufacturer HTC’s new virtual reality headset that will help immerse you into your favourite video games and movies giving your entertainment experience a whole new outlook. But if you prefer your gameplay a little more two dimensional then there is always Samsung’s latest flagship phones the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a much improved version of its predecessor which unfortunately didn’t exactly hit the highs following its release back in 2014. But this time around it’s been coupled with the newly curved S6 Edge.
Aside from the new angular style itself, which will no doubt make it more realistic and faster when you’re accessing casinos online and other gaming sites, there is very little to differentiate the two new handsets from each other.
With smartphones aside 2015 is set to be a really a big year for smartwatches and even LG were on hand at the event to showcase their new LG Watch Urbane LTE which houses its own SIM card allowing its owner to make calls and make more right from their wrist.
And with the Apple Watch right around the corner the new LG watch will appeal to many, as it won’t require the ownership of an existing smartphone.
